Wedding Venues
The Atrium is the original covered courtyard of this 17th Century Palazzo and offers a unique outdoor feeling in a totally indoor space. Ideal for the smaller intimate wedding celebrations, the Atrium will accommodate a maximum of 150 guests at a stand-up reception / pre-dinner drinks reception, and also an intimate dinner for up to 30 guests.
The de Mondion Restaurant and adjacent terraces are located on the uppermost level of this property and form part of the original fortifications of Mdina. From these strategically located terraces one feels that the beautiful Island of Malta is magically in the palm of your hand. A breath-taking view over a 180 degree span with the deep blue Mediterranean Sea clearly visible on the horizon will prove to be an idyllic venue to host a stand up reception for 150 guests or a seated dinner party for up to 75 guests.
The Piazza, as the word implies, is the majestic square situated directly outside the hotel. The splendid old buildings forming this square provide an impressive back-drop for that special wedding with a difference. This outdoor venue offers catering in the form of a stand-up reception for 500 guests and a seated affair for up to 160 guests.
Palazzo de Piro, a stately building which origins date back to the 17th century, stands adjacent to the left of the Cathedral in Mdina. It was improved and embellished in the 18th century and finally, at the beginning of the last century, it became a magnificent palazzo with the addition of an upper floor composed of an important ‘sala grande’ and an enfilade of fine drawing rooms whose views are worth mentioning as they are both plentiful and outstanding. The building has recently been meticulously and lovingly restored to provide yet another very exclusive and multi-functional venue. Wedding receptions are available for groups up to 150 guests which can be split into five imposing inter-connecting rooms.
